'UNRAVEL'

ROLE: Writer, co-producer, co-editor, graphics.

I shot this film as part of the BFI's Film Academy in Liverpool ('23 - '24). I took part in a series of workshops and screenings leading up to our production, where we were placed in groups to create a short film.

PRODUCTION

We pitched a film idea to a team of lecturers at Edge Hill University. Here's the pitch deck we used:



















I then proceeded to write a few drafts of a script, listening to notes from my peers to make improvements and adjustments. We eventually decided to remove most of the dialogue, but here is my script including the monologue we initially decided to include:

We then filmed the final short. I made some last-minute tweaks to the edit with one of my groupmates in an editing suite at Edge Hill University. I also designed the film's logo which appears in the opening sequence. Here's the finished film:














We screened the film to an audience at FACT, Liverpool, as part of a BFI Film Academy showcase in February 2024. This included a short with the audience.
